Peurto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island.

  • The Charles Darwin Research Station: A must-visit center located at the edge of town. It’s famous for its giant tortoise captive breeding programs and the tribute to Lonesome George, the last of the Pinta Island tortoises.

  • The Fish Market (Pelican Bay): A lively spot on the main pier where local fishermen bring in their daily catch. You’ll see sea lions and pelicans cheekily "begging" for scraps right next to the vendors.

  • Tortuga Bay: A stunning white-sand beach accessible via a scenic 45-minute paved walk from town. It’s a prime spot for seeing marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and white-tip reef sharks.
